Delete in the App
This page is for the Ferni app on Android, iPhone and the web (app.ferni.ai). The quickest way to delete your account is from inside the app. It works right away.
- Open Ferni and sign in.
- Open the menu and go to Settings.
- Choose Take Your Story.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
Ferni then erases your data and closes your sign-in, and you are signed out on that device. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Ask Us by Email
If you can't use the app, email privacy@ferni.ai with the subject "Delete my account". Send it from the email address you sign in with, or tell us which one it is. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours. We delete it within 30 days and write back when it's done.
What Is Deleted
- Your profile and your sign-in.
- Your conversations with Ferni.
- The memories Ferni keeps about you: the people, plans and goals you've talked about.
- Your check-ins, reminders, routines, wellbeing entries, contacts you added and other things you've set up.
- Notification subscriptions on your devices.
- Connections to other services. If you let Ferni send email from your Gmail, Ferni asks Google to revoke that permission.
What Is Kept
- Usage analytics. Records of how the app is used (for example screens opened and call length) are stored separately. Deleting your account in the app does not remove them yet. If you want them removed too, email privacy@ferni.ai and we will delete them. Otherwise they are kept for up to 26 months.
- Server logs for security and debugging, for up to 90 days.
- Records we must keep by law, such as payment records if you ever made a payment, for as long as the law requires.
